Zee Khattak, and the real music revolution.

This isn’t a blog aimed to convert the brainwashed so lets get straight to the point. Music is a bitter sweet symphony for creative artists. The love hate relationship with an existing industry who some say are part of the problem!. The view point of what is thought to be commercially viable within the mainstream and monopolised ‘music’ industry is becoming less and less relevant in the eyes of many…

So who is Zee Khattak?

So, enter Zee Khattak and those who have walked the path before him.
Zee Khattak is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in the West-Midlands, UK. He embodies the Songwall battle cry that champions “a platform where artists do not have to sacrifice artistic integrity for commercial success”. This has materialised to a newly completed debut 10-track album ‘Every Winter’ and a Kickstarter campaign to help get it on vinyl, where it belongs!

Recording Zee Khattak

You can own one of the most unique and characteristic songs you will ever hear, on vinyl.

The song titled ‘This Poisons Not Enough’ is one of those rare and haunting melodies that is lyrically wise beyond the years. You can listen to it listen to it on the Kickstarter campaign page.

His dark and brooding style has roots in folk, blues and classic rock. The album ‘Every Winter’ is a blend of classic folk, blues and roots-rock reminiscent of singer-songwriters including Bob Dylan and Neil Young, along with the darker subject matter that may be found in Lou Reed and Leonard Cohen.

Why support new music?
