An overnight stay in the 5 star Staying Cool at the Rotunda Penthouse Suite

By registering an artist profile today and entering the competition you could be performing and staying at the top of the iconic Grade II listed Rotunda building in the heart of Birmingham to a selective audience of Songwallers (music fans) against Stunning city views from a bank of floor-to-ceiling windows.

Be filmed and be treated like a VIP in your own five-star penthouse serviced apartment overlooking the views as the sun sinks and the city lights come up to an intimate and select audience of Birmingham raw music fans.

Then, the following morning, enjoy the views from your open air wraparound balcony with an espresso from your very own illy coffee machine.

How To Enter

How the competition works:


You are required to upload 3 of your original songs and a profile image

STEP 2 – ENTER ONE SONG INTO ‘SONGS IN THE SKY’ via the competition page

  • Voting starts on Saturday 10th August 2019
  • Voting closes on the 16th August 2019
  • Songwall will pick the winning artist out of the top 3 songs with the most votes.
  • The winner will be announced on the 17th August 2019
  • The winner will perform on 22nd August 2019

 The Winning Artist Details:

  • The winning artist will perform at Staying Cool at the Rotunda
  • The winning artist must perform either solo or as a duo maximum.
  • The winning artist has the option to stay exclusively in the penthouse suite after the event, to privately enjoy the city views from above! (Two bedroom apartment) (Worth £500)
  • The artist may be offered the opportunity to be filmed. The artist can chose one song to be edited which may be released via the Songwall Youtube channel.
  • The artist will receive £120 payment after the event via bank transfer
  • The artist is responsible for travel expenses
  • If the artist drives – Free parking will be provided for an overnight stay.

There is no cash alternative to the prize offered. Songwall reserves the right to offer an alternative, reasonable equivalent opportunity should circumstances make this necessary.

Uploading Songs

By uploading a song to, you the ‘artist’ / ‘user’ hereby agree that you are the sole or joint copyright right holder of the piece of music or (song), including music and lyrics and consent to the song being accessible to the world and universe via this website. If you are a joint copyright holder of a song that you upload to; you as the ‘user’ / ‘artist’ uploading the song are declaring that you have the consent of all other copyright / IP holders of the song that you are uploading to the songwall website.

License: You retain all your song IP rights by posting a song and or image on the songwall website.

By accessing and or using you hereby agree to our terms and conditions. These terms and conditions may be modified from time to time and will become effective on going live via It is your responsibility to check for updates and we recommend you do so on a regular basis. These terms are legally binding and using the website you agree to be bound to this agreement whether You ‘the visitor’ or ‘browser’ without limitation through any device or otherwise are registered as user or not. (Songwall) or has the right to discontinue it’s service, competition section or any activity with or without notice and may prevent your use of the Songwall service without any prior notice to you. Songwall will hold no liability if the song wall services are discontinued at any point.

In addition to music lovers, Songwall is a site for artists by artists and our goal is to provide a sound service. However, If you do not agree to be bound by this agreement you should not use (We hope you join us on the trip)

Access to information

The Data Protection Act 1998 (the “Act”) gives you the right to access information held about you and for you to request that changes be made to this information if it is inaccurate or not up-to-date.

Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee (as amended from time to time) to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.

What equipment can artists use at “Songs in the Sky” for performances?

Due to the location, size and intimate space of this event space, we amplify and instruments through a small PA.  The winning artist can liaise with Songwall prior to the event to confirm equipment details or any special requests.

Will I be paid for my performance?

Songwall will pay the artist for their performance within 7 days after the event. This will be via bank transfer. This is a one off payment.
